No change in fuel prices for today: OGRA

No change in fuel prices for today: OGRA

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged till July 27, which means that the prices announced one day ago would continue to be applicable due to the suspension of international assessments for the fuels over the weekend.

As per the notice issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol would still cost Rs. 335.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) would continue to cost Rs. 383.46 per litre until July 27.

The price of kerosene oil would also continue at Rs. 301.14 per litre.

This has been done because Platts, the international benchmark on which Pakistan calculates its daily petroleum prices, is not conducting any fuel assessment over the weekend.

This has made the government continue with the current prices till the global benchmarks are known again.

The new rates had been announced on July 25 when the government increased petrol prices by Rs. 3.66 per litre and diesel prices by Rs. 4.80 per litre.
