Oil prices drop 2% amid prospects of US–Iran talks

Saudi Arabia slashes oil prices for Asia

KARACHI: After the news of the expected negotiations between the US and Iran, immediate effects on prices have started to emerge in the global oil market, and crude oil prices have recorded a decrease of about 2%.

According to a private TV report, the trend of investors in the global market changed on the news of possible talks between the two countries, as a result of which oil became cheaper.

The price of British Brent crude oil fell by 2.07% to $68.02 per barrel, while American WTI crude oil also fell by 2.06% to $63.80 per barrel.

It should be remembered that a day before this, an increase in oil prices was seen in the global market; however, after the news of the US-Iran negotiations, the market trend has turned downward.
