ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has said that Pakistan has received a 4-year permit to export fish to the US.

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that the permit is a global recognition of the quality of Pakistani seafood.

Pakistani fisheries have met US standards, and continuity in exports of marine products has become possible.

Pakistan exported 242,000 tons of fish last year, earning $489 million in foreign exchange. Exports of $600 million are expected next year.
