Pakistani rupee gains as dollar falls, PSX hits 167,000

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Stock Exchange, the index once again crossed the one hundred and sixty-seven thousand (167,000) mark, and the value of the Pakistani rupee against the dollar in the exchange market has also improved.

As per details, the dollar has become cheaper in the interbank market. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the price of the dollar has fallen by 4 paise in the interbank market to 280 rupees 40 paise.

On the other hand, the stock market witnessed a huge surge on the last day of the business week. At the start of trading, the 100 index rose by 1,143 points, which saw the index trading at 167,427 points.

 

Yesterday, the stock market also started trading positively in the first session, but at the end of the trading day, the index went into the negative zone.
