Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan increase by 38.68 per cent in FY 2024-25

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s export of goods and services to Afghanistan increased by 38.68 per cent during the fiscal year 2024-25 as compared to the last year, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The overall exports to Afghanistan reached a total of $773.892 million during FY 2024-25 against exports of $558.032 million in fiscal year 2023-24.

Pakistan’s overall exports to other countries witnessed an increase of 4.24 per cent in the fiscal year under review, from $30.979 billion to $32.295 billion, the SBP said.

On a year-to-year basis, exports to Afghanistan grew by 8.24 per cent, rising from $46.405 million in June 2024 to $50.230 million in June 2025, the central bank data revealed.

However, on a month-to-month basis, the exports to Afghanistan decreased by 11.63 per cent during June 2025 as compared to the exports of $56.843 million in May 2025.

On the other hand, the imports from Afghanistan during the year 2024-25 were recorded at $25.898 million against $11.960 million last year, showing an increase of 116.53 per cent.

On a year-to-year basis, the imports for Afghanistan witnessed a decrease of 33.55 per cent from $1.773 million in June 2024, against the imports of $1.178 million in June 2025.

Similarly, the imports from Afghanistan also decreased by 39.55 per cent during June 2025, as compared to the imports of $1.949 million during May 2025 on a month-to-month basis.

The overall imports into the country witnessed an increase of 11.13 per cent, from $53.156 billion to $59.076 billion.
