Petrol price likely to increase in Pakistan from October 1?

Iranian petrol price surges in Balochistan amid border business closure

ISLAMABAD: The federal government of Pakistan is likely to announce a modest hike in petrol prices for the first fortnight of October 2024, contrary to previous reports claiming another cut in petroleum prices.

As per the details, reports said the petrol price would be slightly increased by 11 paisas while the high-speed diesel price would be decreased by Rs2.11 per litre.

The federal government would announce the new petroleum prices for the first half of October next week after getting approval from prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

It was earlier revealed that fuel prices will come down substantially amid a downward trend in the inflation rate.

Petrol Price in Pakistan

In the last fortnight’s review, the federal government cut petrol prices by Rs 10, setting the new price at Rs 249.10 per litre. The price of High-Speed ​​Diesel (HSD) fell by Rs 13.06 to Rs 249.69 per litre.

According to a Finance Division notification, the price of light diesel oil fell by Rs 12.12 to Rs 141.93, and kerosene fell by Rs 11.15 to Rs 158.47.
