Petrol prices increased in Pakistan

Budget 2026-27: Climate support levy on Petrol, diesel likely to double

ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has increased the petrol prices by 55 rupees. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that after the attack on Iran, a war situation has emerged in the entire region, and the effects of the current tension are also being felt at the global level.

He said that the prices of petroleum products in the world have increased to touch the sky, and the recent increase in global oil prices is also a result of this tension.

According to Ishaq Dar, the government has been in touch with other countries for the past one week and after consulting with all stakeholders, the current situation was considered.

He said that Pakistan is making every effort to control the growing tension in the region. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also in constant contact with his counterparts.

The Deputy Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty would bring the region out of this tense situation. He added that important decisions have been taken and the new petroleum prices will come into effect from 12 midnight tonight.
