ISLAMABAD: The Power Division spokesperson has issued a statement regarding the current power situation of Pakistan.
According to the spokesperson, Hydropower generation increased due to increased water release last night. 30,000 cusecs of water were released from dams last night.
Only 8,000 cusecs of water were released on the 15th and 16th roads. Hydropower increased by 2,300 MW last night. Spokesperson
Earlier, hydropower generation was 1,800 MW. Spokesperson Hydropower has reached 4,100 MW due to increased water release. Spokesperson
The increase in hydropower also helped bring 400 MW from the south to the country. Grid stability problems have reduced due to more electricity in central areas. Spokesperson
Hydropower may increase further due to the higher demand for water for agricultural purposes by farmers. Spokesperson
The load management period was reduced to 6 hours last night. The spokesperson stayed for 2.5 to 3 hours. The immediate availability of LNG and increased hydropower generation will eliminate the current problem of load management, the spokesperson concluded.
