ISLAMABAD: Sugar prices jumped to Rs229 per kg across the country on Saturday, according to data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The PBS reported a Rs19 per kg hike in Quetta, with the price rising from Rs210 to Rs229 per kg.
It said that the top price in Peshawar was Rs200 per kg, while Karachi and Islamabad had maximum rates of Rs195 per kg.
In Rawalpindi, the highest price was Rs190 per kilogram.
Furthermore, the PBS reported a Rs2.01 decline in the average national price during the previous week. The average price fell to Rs185.47 per kilogram from Rs187.48.
