According to cardiologists, regular consumption of vegetables is very important for improving heart health. While some vegetables are considered more beneficial due to their nutritional properties.

Doctors say that leafy vegetables, beets, tomatoes and vegetables of different colors help in improving heart arteries, blood pressure and cholesterol.

According to experts, spinach, greens and other leafy vegetables are rich in vitamin K, magnesium and potassium. Which help in improving blood flow and reducing the stiffness of the arteries.

Beets have also been declared best for heart health because the nitrates present in it create nitric oxide in the body. Which helps in lowering blood pressure and improving blood circulation.

Tomatoes and antioxidants

Tomatoes contain lycopene, which helps in reducing inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. While cooked tomatoes are considered more beneficial.

Vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts are rich in fiber and antioxidants, which help in lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart disease.

Experts say that the benefits of vegetables are not limited to just one type, but a balanced consumption of different vegetables is more important. Fiber, potassium and antioxidants play a fundamental role in overall heart health.

Experts have advised that vegetables can be consumed in both raw and cooked forms, and consistent consumption gives the best results.
