KARACHI: Cambridge International Education has released the results of its largest-ever June exam series for Cambridge IGCSE, O Level, and International AS & A Level exams globally.
In Pakistan, over 100,000 students from 683 schools participated in Cambridge O Levels, IGCSEs, or International AS & A Levels, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.
Among the most popular subjects at Cambridge O Level and IGCSE were Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat, Mathematics, English Language, and Urdu as a Second Language. For Cambridge International AS & A Level, the top subjects included Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry, and Computer Science, with Business surpassing Chemistry and Computer Science entering the top five, displacing Economics.
Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, extended his congratulations to Pakistani students for their achievements and commended the teachers for their support.
He emphasized the value of international education amid global challenges.
Uzma Yousuf, Cambridge’s Country Director for Pakistan, also congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication.
She highlighted the increasing emphasis on future-oriented subjects, reflecting an awareness of global challenges and opportunities.
Yousuf also recognized the support of teachers, schools, and families in helping students reach their academic goals.
