School holidays extended in THIS area: Details inside

Sindh schools to remain closed till March 31

PINDI BATTIYAN: A notification has been issued to extend school holidays in flood-affected areas in the Pindi Bhattian Tehsil of Hafizabad district.

The Chief Executive Officer of Education has said that educational institutions in 111 flood-affected villages will remain closed until September 12.

Holidays have been extended in educational institutions affected by floodwaters. Schools in the affected villages of Pindi Bhattian will be opened after inspecting the affected buildings.

The CEO of Education said that, on the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, holidays have been announced in educational institutions from September 8 to September 12.

On the other hand, due to rain in Karachi, some private schools have announced a holiday today.

Earlier, it was decided to keep 80 government schools in Sialkot closed till September 10 due to floods.

Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali says that schools have been affected by floodwaters, and some have standing water. In light of the letter from the School Education Department, 80 government schools in the district will remain closed till September 10.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that several schools in Sialkot tehsil will remain closed from September 8 to 10, and teaching will also be temporarily suspended in several schools in Daska, Pasrur, and Sambrial tehsils.

Officials say that there is a possibility that the school premises will be affected by floodwaters, and the safety of children is the top priority.
