LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has released new school hours for all government schools of the province, valid until October 15, 2025.
The notification is issued as schools are set to reopen in the majority of districts from tomorrow.
The new timetable includes single-shift schools, double-shift and afternoon schools. Timings have also been designated for teachers, along with extra hours for lesson planning, training, and co-curricular activities.

The department has instructed all District Education Authorities to implement the new timings sternly, and it warned that complacency or failure to do so would be addressed under the law. A 15-minute leeway for opening and closing at schools for girls has been permitted.
