KARACHI: All public and private educational institutions in Sindh will remain closed tomorrow because of a public holiday declared in observance of Shab-e-Barat, “Night of Fortune and Forgiveness.”
The provincial authorities declared the holiday in accordance with the fifteenth night of Shaʻban, an important date for Muslims according to the Islamic calendar.
Sindh is the only province this year to declare a holiday on Shab-e-Barat so that students and staff can offer their prayers of gratitude on this occasion.
The Sindh Education Department has been informed that tomorrow all public and private educational institutions will remain closed.
This will allow students, teachers, and staff a chance to engage themselves in the spiritual and religious events connected with Shab-e-Barat, which is of utmost importance in the Islamic faith.
Through this announcement, provincial authorities allow the people of Sindh to commemorate this occasion with utmost devotion while seeking forgiveness and blessings from Allah.
