Punjab announces 8th class board exams

Karachi Board issues new schedule for postponed matric exams

LAHORE: The annual board examinations of the eighth grade in Punjab will be held in March 2026, after 4 years.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan has said in his statement that the schedule of the annual board examinations has been prepared by PECTA.

The board examinations organized by PECTA will start on March 5.

He said that work has been started by PECTA to prepare for the examinations. And the examination will be held on a single pattern across Punjab.

According to PECTA officials, nominations of focal persons have been sought from all District Education Authorities.

Earlier, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has extended the admission schedule for SSC First Annual Examinations 2026 across Punjab.

According to the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), students can submit admission forms with a single fee until December 10, instead of the previous deadline of November 27.

New Date for Matric Exams 2026

Also last date for submitting forms with double fee has been extended to December 23, instead of the previous deadline of December 11.

Additionally, the PBCC confirmed that the SSC past II examination 2026 will begin on March 3, 2026. The notification has been forwarded to all boards.
