ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started open trials for its Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament 2026, which will allow young cricket players to display their abilities while competing for team selection.
The Directorate of Sports & Culture under the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad will conduct trials at two different locations during a three-day testing period.
The official announcement states that open trials will determine which teams will participate in the upcoming Ramzan tournament. The women’s trials are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the CDA National Cricket Ground.
Officials stated that players who succeed in the trials will have the chance to join the CDA Women’s Cricket Team. The men’s trials will begin at their new time because the previous schedule had to be moved back after the staff watched forecasted weather conditions.
They will now take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Diamond Cricket Ground in G-8/2, Islamabad.
All participants must present their official Form B or Smart National Identity Card together with two new passport-sized color photos when they arrive at the trial.
CDA officials have established that their preferred method for identity verification will involve using Form B instead of CNIC documents.
The Ramzan Talent Hunt Cricket Tournament serves as one of the programs through which CDA works to develop sports while giving young athletes an organized platform to compete during the holy month.
