ISLAMABAD: In a groundbreaking move, Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to extend the ceasefire following the resumption of peace talks in Istanbul.
According to the press release issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, all parties have agreed to establish a monitoring and verification mechanism to maintain peace and impose a penalty on the violating party.
Further modalities of the implementation will be discussed and decided in a Principal-level meeting in Istanbul on 6 November 2025, press releases stated.
