Pakistan played major role in Iran-US talks, says JD Vance while meeting PM Shehbaz, Asim Munir

BURGENSTOCK: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with US Vice President JD Vance.

US Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were also present during the meeting of Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir with US Vice President JD Vance.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of US-Iran technical-level talks in Bergen Stock. The meeting was held in a very pleasant atmosphere. The leaders hugged each other in a pleasant mood.

During the meeting, pleasant words were exchanged between both sides. While members of the US delegation shook hands warmly with the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal.

US Vice President JD Vance said that Pakistan has played an excellent role in peace.

While talking to the Field Marshal, JD Vance said that we are grateful for what you have done. And Pakistan’s role in the Iran-US talks has been great.

Steve Witkoff hugged Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, calling him “my brother.”

The US delegation includes Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner. The Iranian delegation is led by Speaker Baqir Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

According to reports, Pakistan and Qatar are playing a role as mediators in the talks, while diplomatic efforts are underway to build confidence between the parties and a possible ceasefire.

According to observers, if this development proves fruitful, it can be called a major diplomatic success for the region.
