RAWALPINDI: British Army Chief of General Staff General Charles Roland Vincent Walker called on Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ Rawalpindi.
According to the ISPR, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and measures to further promote defense cooperation were discussed in the meeting.
Both leaders reiterated their commitment to continue cooperation for the establishment of peace and stability in the region.
The visiting distinguished guest appreciated the sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and praised Pakistan’s role in peace and stability in the region.
Earlier, on his arrival at GHQ, General Charles Walker laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial. The guest paid tribute to the martyrs.
Later, he was presented with a guard of honor by a well-dressed contingent of the Pakistan Army.
