Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir observed globally, Pakistan echoes support for freedom struggle

Kashmiris Worldwide observe Black Day Against Indian Occupation

ISLAMABAD: ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir is being observed today against the Modi government’s usurpation of occupied Kashmir.

Today marks 6 years since the unconstitutional Indian move to abolish special provisions in the Indian Constitution for occupied Kashmir. Kashmiris living all over the world celebrate this day as ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir.

On August 5, 2019, the Indian government abolished Articles 370 and 35A, changing the special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir and imposing curfew in the occupied valley.

Kashmiris living all over the world are protesting against this unconstitutional and cruel move of the Indian government on August 5, 2019.

Today, Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world are condemning the Indian move by holding rallies and processions against India.

The Kashmiri people have not accepted this decision, and today they hold protests all over the world and expose the ugly face of India to the whole world.

The Kashmiri people say that they will continue their struggle for freedom until the complete independence of occupied Kashmir.

On the other hand, the All-Party Hurriyat Conference appealed to observe Black Day today, saying that Black Day will send a message to the world that India has illegally occupied Kashmir.

Armed Forces Support  right of Self-Determination

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on the occasion of ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir, said that the Pakistani armed forces support the struggle for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiris.

The armed forces, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, and the Chief of Air Staff also reiterated their solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

According to the ISPR, the struggle of the Kashmiris is following international laws and Security Council resolutions, and the occupation of occupied Kashmir by Indian security forces is a violation of international norms.

The ISPR says that attempts to change the population ratio of occupied Kashmir are also a violation of international norms, India’s repressive measures, provocative statements are increasing instability in the region, and India’s aggressive measures are prolonging the human tragedy in the region.

According to the ISPR, peace in South Asia is not possible without a just and peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir; the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be under the wishes of the Kashmiri people and relevant UN resolutions.

The ISPR said that the armed forces pay tribute to the martyrs of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and the armed forces reiterate their resolve to stand side by side with the Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for rights and freedom.

Prime Minister’s message on ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while issuing a message on ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir, said that the nation reiterates its solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters, condemning India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019.

The Prime Minister said that India’s actions are a violation of United Nations resolutions and international laws.

India is conspiring to change the demographic and political structure of occupied Kashmir. Occupied Kashmir Day is a serious reminder of Indian barbarity and hostility to peace.

The Prime Minister said that India’s denial of the basic human rights and identity of Kashmiris is the main reason for regional instability.

President’s message on ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir

President Asif Ali Zardari, while issuing a message on ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ Kashmir, said that India abolished the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019. The Indian action aimed to weaken the right of Kashmiris to self-determination. India took several steps to change the demographic structure and political map of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The President said that the arbitrary delimitation of constituencies and the inclusion of non-Kashmiris in the voter list are part of the Indian strategy. After August 5, 2019, India increased its oppression and tyranny in occupied Kashmir.

President Asif Ali Zardari said that an attempt is being made to disempower the Kashmiri people in their own homeland. The people of occupied Kashmir are facing threats, unjustified arrests and sieges.

Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiris until they achieve their legitimate rights.
