Speaking at the event, Kamran Akmal said, ‘Babar Azam and his team received the support they received from you for three years, and from the people of Pakistan. They would also have a World Cup or a big event in their name.
Kamran Akmal said, ‘Pakistan team did not play with the intention of winning, due to which it suffered losses in this World Cup.’
He also said that ‘Babar has got four years of captaincy, I am talking as a brother, everyone knows my relationship with him, if everyone wants Babar to score 24,25 thousand runs, then pressure him. The captaincy will have to be put aside to be removed, when that happens he will perform well as a player.’
The former wicket-keeper batsman smilingly described all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed as the best option for the captaincy.
