Floods wreak havoc in Somalia, killing 50 people and leaving millions homeless.

The head of Somalia’s National Disaster Management Authority, Mahmoud Moalim Abdullah, said that 50 people have been killed by the flood so far, while millions of people have been displaced.

Officials have expressed fears that the expected rains till November 24 could lead to more floods that could lead to major destruction.

It should be noted that the Horn of Africa region has seen heavy rains and flooding in recent weeks.

It is linked to the El Nino weather phenomenon that has killed dozens of people and displaced large numbers of people.
