Hassan and Hussain Nawaz to return to Pak on March 12

The counsel for Hassan and Hussain Nawaz informed the court on Wednesday that they will be returning to Pakistan on March 12. On Wednesday, the brothers submitted an appeal seeking the suspension of their perpetual warrant in the Avenfield reference, which was heard by accountability judge Nasir Javed Rana.

Hassan and Hussain’s attorney, Qazi Misbah ul Hassan, said the court that although the National Accountability Bureau withdrew its Flagship referral against the brothers, they had been cleared in the Al-Azizia case. The attorney went on to say that since Hassan and Hussain intend to return to the nation on March 12, their warrants ought to be revoked.

The case was postponed until Thursday by the judge, who also gave notice to the investigating officer. The sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Hassan and Hussain, have been living in exile for a number of years after being connected to allegations of corruption in 2017. Nawaz was granted relief in several NAB proceedings against him since his return to Pakistan in October of last year.
