BANKOK: Thailand Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has dissolved parliament following a week of border clashes with Cambodia.
According to media, the Prime Minister read a royal decree announcing the move, stating that since taking office three months ago, his minority government has faced multiple challenges, including the ongoing border tensions with Cambodia.
He emphasized that the solution to these issues lies in entrusting political power to the people. It is noteworthy that when Anutin Charnvirakul assumed office, he had indicated his intention to dissolve parliament by the end of January 2026.
