Dr Nabiha Ali Khan alleges abuse, ends marriage with Haris Khokhar

LAHORE: Psychologist and motivational speaker Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and Haris Khokhar have called it quits after two months, with the TV host accusing her husband of domestic abuse.

Narrating her story on a Ramadan transmission, Dr Nabiha made emotional and explosive allegations against her now-estranged husband, social media influencer Haris Khokhar, claiming the marriage was a grave mistake.

A tearful Nabiha lamented a life of mental torture, constant accusations, restrictions and humiliation. She alleged that her husband himself admitted that he married her not out of love but to gain fame, later defaming her and publicly claiming that she could not sustain the marriage.

She said the first two months of their marriage were nothing short of psychological abuse. Dr Nabiha said she was not even allowed to close her bedroom door and was deprived of the basic facility of sitting comfortably and eating with her spouse. She was subjected to repeated insulting accusations and public humiliation.

The emotional toll made her home a place of constant anxiety and frustration. Her mother-in-law’s behavior, she added, resulted in her husband constantly siding with his mother, leaving Nabiha isolated and helpless.

Nabiha said she did everything she could to save the marriage, including cooking, washing dishes, and fulfilling household responsibilities, but received no respect in return. Instead, she alleged, she was eventually kicked out of the house in a humiliating manner. She also accused her husband and in-laws of mental torture and threats, claiming that she began to fear for her safety.

She said the ongoing psychological pressure had taken a toll on her health, leading to emotional exhaustion and medical problems. She described the feeling used, saying that her husband treated her as a temporary possession, stamped his name on her life, and left her without any regrets.

Nabiha alleged that the marriage was destroyed by suspicions, accusations, and verbal abuse, which created an atmosphere of distrust and emotional devastation. She said that no woman chooses to destroy her home of her own free will, but abusive situations can push her towards a breakdown.

Meanwhile, host Fiza Ali can be seen comforting Nabiha, hugging her as she shared her ordeal. After the interview, Nabiha said that she would not remain silent any longer and vowed to expose Haris Khokhar’s “true face” to save other women from similar suffering.

On the other hand, Haris Khokhar and his family have not yet responded to the rumors.
