Indian film producer R. B. Choudary dies in tragic road accident

MUMBAI: Renowned producer of the Indian film industry RB Choudary died in a tragic traffic accident, according to Indian media.

According to media reports, RB Chaudhary lost his life in an accident that occurred on a highway in the state of Rajasthan on May 5, 2026.

He had gone to Lilamba village to attend a family wedding and was returning after the ceremony.

The accident occurred in the area of ​​​​Jontha village near Beawar when his car suddenly lost control while trying to avoid cattle coming on the road and crashed into a roadside barrier.

The collision was so severe that the front part of the car was badly damaged.

According to reports, RB Chaudhary died on the spot, while his son-in-law and driver were seriously injured and were immediately shifted to a hospital in Jodhpur.

Police reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem. His body is expected to be shifted to Chennai on May 6, where the last rites will be performed.

Several artists, including prominent figures of the Indian film industry, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Chiranjeevi, have expressed deep sorrow and grief over his death. RB Chaudhary is survived by his sons Jeeva and Jeethan Ramesh, along with his family.
