MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has called the news of her marriage to Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ‘fake’.
In the Bollywood industry, Kangana is known for her bold, controversial and outspoken opinions along with her acting.
Recently, after Indian politician Raghav Chadha joined the BJP, while critical comments from social media users were seen, some baseless and fake posts were also going viral.
At the same time, a fake comment of Kangana was shared by a meme page on social media, which read, ‘If Rahul Gandhi joins the BJP, I am ready to marry him.’
Later, this fake post was said to be Kangana’s real statement and the Indian media claimed that ‘If Rahul Gandhi decides to join the BJP, Kangana is ready to marry him.’
One such under-the-radar social media post couldn’t go unnoticed by Kangana.
The actress reshared a screenshot of the post on her Instagram story and wrote, “This fake news is very sad, there is no respect or dignity for women even in politics, those who are spreading this fake news should be ashamed.”
