LAHORE: Pakistani podcaster Rehan Tariq was taken into custody by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) officials at Lahore Airport after arriving from London.
According to social media reports, Rehan Tariq arrived at midnight on Wednesday and Thursday, when he was initially stopped by FIA officials at the airport. Later, the NCCIA officials reached the spot and arrested him.
The reports claim that Rehan Tariq was shifted to an unknown location from the airport; however, no official details have been released about the reasons for his arrest.
National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has not issued any official statement on the matter so far, creating a buzz on social media regarding his arrest.
Moreover, Rehan Tariq’s family has not yet confirmed or denied these reports.
