Eid ul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan: Possible Date Revealed After Shawwal Moon Forecast

Eid ul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan

The possible date of Eid ul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan has started to emerge after a new astronomical forecast. Scientists say the Shawwal moon may not be easily visible on the expected evening.

According to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO), the new moon of Shawwal 1447 AH will be born on March 19, 2026 at 6:23 AM.

Experts say the moon’s age at sunset that day will be around 12 hours and 41 minutes. This short age may make moon sighting difficult in many parts of the country.

SPARCO also noted that in Pakistan’s coastal areas the difference between sunset and moonset could be about 28 minutes.

Because of these conditions, experts believe the Shawwal moon is unlikely to be seen on the evening of March 19.

If the moon is not sighted that day, Eid ul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan is expected to fall on Saturday, March 21.

However, the final announcement about Eid ul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which officially confirms moon sightings across the country.
