In an illegal marriage case, Imran Khan is summoned

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was called before the court in the matter of his alleged extramarital marriage to Bushra Bibi.

On December 18, Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah called Imran Khan to appear in court regarding his marriage during Iddat.

Bushra Bibi’s request to be excused from one day of attendance was granted by the court, and in exchange, she was required to provide a Rs. 50,000 personal bond as security.

The PTI founder Imran Khan’s  presence on the video link from Adiala Jail could not be guaranteed, the court declared. Imran Khan  should be present at the upcoming hearing, according to the jail superintendent.

The parties have received copies of the complaint and other documents, stated Civil Judge Qudratullah.

On December 18, the marriage case of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi will have its next hearing.
