The Iran cluster missile attack on Tel Aviv has increased tensions in the Middle East after a major overnight strike. The attack came as a response to the killing of Iran’s senior security leader.

According to Iranian state media, missiles carrying cluster warheads were launched towards Tel Aviv late Tuesday night. Air raid sirens were heard before multiple explosions hit different parts of the city.

Israeli officials confirmed that at least two people were killed in the latest attack. The total death toll in Israel from the ongoing war has now reached 14.

Cluster warheads release many small explosives in the air. These spread over a wide area and are harder to stop. Israel has accused Iran of using such weapons repeatedly.

The attack followed the assassination of Iranian security chief Ali Larijani. Iran has blamed Israel for the killing and promised a strong response.

Iran is also holding funerals for Larijani and another key figure, Gholamreza Soleimani, who were killed in recent strikes.

Iranian military chief Amir Hatami said the response to the assassination would be “decisive.” Tensions continue to rise as both sides exchange threats.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeated his strong stance against Iran’s leadership. Israel has also warned it may target Iran’s new leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Meanwhile, the conflict is affecting the global economy. Oil prices remain high as Iran threatens shipping routes, especially the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States has also carried out strikes on Iranian missile sites near the coast. Washington says these actions aim to protect international shipping.

US President Donald Trump said America does not need help from allies, while European leaders are calling for diplomatic solutions.

The Iran cluster missile attack on Tel Aviv highlights the growing risk of a wider regional war, with no immediate signs of peace.
