Iran IRGC Missile Attack Claim on Netanyahu Office Raises Regional Tensions

Iran IRGC Missile Attack Claim on Netanyahu Office

Iran IRGC Missile Attack Claim on Netanyahu Office has increased tensions in the Middle East. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in a missile strike.

The statement was issued in Tehran on Sunday. The IRGC claimed that the attack also targeted the residence of Israeli Air Force Commander Tomer Bar.

According to the IRGC, the strike was carried out using locally made Khyber Shekan ballistic missiles. The group shared the information through its official news outlet, Sepah News.

The IRGC said the operation was a “surprise attack.” It added that the condition of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is unknown. Officials said more details would be released later.

The Khyber Shekan missile was first unveiled and test-launched in May 2023. Iranian authorities say the missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers.

It can carry a warhead weighing up to 1,500 kilograms. Iran describes it as part of its advanced missile system.

There has been no immediate confirmation from Israeli officials regarding the Iran IRGC Missile Attack Claim on Netanyahu Office.

The situation remains tense as both countries continue to exchange strong statements.
