Iran radar systems attack claim has emerged after Tehran said its forces targeted military sites in the Gulf region.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attacks were carried out during the latest phase of Operation True Promise 4. The operation reportedly used advanced missiles and drones.
According to Iran’s state news agency, strikes targeted locations linked to the United States in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
In the UAE, one of the key targets mentioned was Al Dhafra Air Base. Iranian officials claimed that missiles and drones hit important military facilities there.
Iran said the attack destroyed an early warning radar system and hangars used for maintaining MQ‑9 Reaper drones. Facilities linked to American reconnaissance aircraft, including Lockheed U‑2, were also reportedly targeted.
The statement further said that another strike took place at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. Iran claimed cruise and ballistic missiles were used in the attack.
According to the statement, radar systems, fuel storage areas, and two runways used by US aircraft were damaged at the Kuwaiti base.
The claims were released in an official statement on Saturday. However, independent confirmation of the reported damage has not yet been provided.
Regional tensions have remained high as military activities and security alerts continue across parts of the Middle East.
