Iran shoots down US drone, releases images after claiming multiple drone interceptions

Iran shoots down US drone and shared images of the wreckage, according to Iranian officials. The incident reportedly happened in Lorestan province. Iranian authorities said the drone was an MQ-9 model.

Iranian media also reported that another drone, identified as Hermes, was destroyed near the capital Tehran.

Officials said the country’s air defense system has been active in different regions. They claimed that several American and Israeli aircraft and drones were targeted during recent military actions.

Iran claims more than 75 drones intercepted

Iranian military sources stated that more than 75 drones have been shot down since recent hostilities began last week.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards also claimed that an Israeli Heron drone was destroyed in the city of Isfahan.

Authorities warned that Iran’s military response could become stronger and wider in the coming days.

Reports of casualties in Shiraz

According to Iranian media, an attack in the city of Shiraz caused civilian casualties. The strike reportedly targeted a residential area.

Officials said at least 20 people were killed in the attack, which Iran blamed on the United States and Israel.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military claimed that it destroyed six Iranian ballistic missile launchers during overnight strikes. Israeli sources also said that three advanced Iranian defense systems were damaged in recent attacks.
