Italy Work Visas for Pakistanis have been officially announced after an important meeting between Pakistan and Italy’s interior ministers. The decision will allow thousands of skilled Pakistani workers to get legal employment opportunities in Italy.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Italian counterpart Matteo Piantedosi. The meeting focused on internal security, legal migration, and preventing illegal immigration between both countries.
During the discussion, the Italian minister said his country will issue 10,500 work visas for Pakistani skilled workers. He said Italy wants to promote legal migration and benefit from Pakistan’s skilled workforce.
Both sides also discussed cooperation against human smuggling, drug trafficking, and terrorism. They agreed to increase joint efforts and strengthen coordination in these areas.
On Pakistan’s request, Italy also agreed to provide visa-free entry for Pakistani diplomatic passport holders. This step is expected to improve official exchanges between the two countries.
Mohsin Naqvi told the Italian side that Pakistan has improved border monitoring at airports and sea routes. He said these measures helped reduce illegal migration.
Italian officials appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and praised its institutions for their role in controlling illegal migration and related crimes.
The announcement of Italy Work Visas for Pakistanis is seen as a positive step. It will create legal job pathways and strengthen relations between Pakistan and Italy.
