The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has unveiled its Ramadan electricity supply schedule to ensure residents receive uninterrupted power during Sehri and Iftari. The announcement aims to support citizens observing fasts throughout the holy month.

At a press briefing in Lahore, LESCO Chief Engineer Ramzan Butt confirmed that the company has completed all preparations for consistent electricity supply during peak hours. He assured that no load-shedding would occur during the critical Sehri and Iftari times.

“This year, we have taken special measures to prevent outages during Ramadan,” Butt said. He noted that LESCO has successfully managed similar arrangements during festivals like Basant, and these strategies have now been applied for Ramadan.

The chief engineer explained that summer load-shedding is often linked to electricity theft and technical line losses. However, he expressed confidence that improved monitoring and enforcement measures will minimize such losses this year, ensuring stable power for households during the fasting schedule.

Authorities highlighted that the initiative is intended to reduce stress on families during high-demand periods. By providing a reliable electricity supply, LESCO hopes to ease daily routines and ensure that Sehri and Iftari times proceed without interruption.

Consumers are encouraged to follow the announced schedule and report any irregularities promptly. LESCO continues to monitor the grid closely to maintain uninterrupted service throughout Ramadan.

The move has been welcomed by residents, who often face difficulties managing household activities during fasting hours. With the new Ramadan electricity supply schedule, LESCO aims to make the holy month more comfortable and convenient for its customers.
