Pakistan is set to introduce a World Bank-funded digital platform aimed at modernizing public services across the country. The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication announced that it is inviting proposals for this national-level project, which will connect federal and provincial departments through a centralized system.
Officials said the platform will improve transparency, streamline coordination, and enhance overall service delivery for citizens. The government expects the project to be a significant step toward a fully digital public sector.
Eligible local and international firms have been asked to submit proposals for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the platform. The procurement process will follow international competitive bidding standards in line with World Bank regulations.
To support potential bidders, the ministry will host a virtual pre-proposal session later this month. During this session, participants can seek clarifications and better understand project requirements. All relevant documents have been made available online through official channels.
The deadline for submitting proposals is set for the end of March 2026. After the submission period, authorities will begin a structured evaluation process based on predefined criteria to select the most suitable provider.
Experts say this initiative reflects Pakistan’s broader push toward digital governance. By centralizing public services and making them more accessible, the platform is expected to reduce bureaucratic delays and improve citizen satisfaction.
The government’s move also aligns with global trends of digital transformation in public administration, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to leveraging technology for efficient service delivery.
With the World Bank-funded digital platform, Pakistan aims to set a benchmark for transparency and accountability in government operations, benefiting millions of citizens nationwide.
