The OGDC gas discovery at the Dars West-3 well in Sindh has added new energy resources for Pakistan. Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) confirmed the successful testing of this well in Tando Allah Yar district.
OGDC shared the update in an official filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The well was drilled to a depth of 2,100 meters in the Lower Goru Formation. Company experts carried out the drilling and testing using their own technical team.
During the test, the well produced 9.70 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. It also delivered 580 barrels of condensate daily. The well showed a flowing pressure of 1,725 pounds per square inch.
The company said these results confirm strong gas potential in the Lower Goru C-Sand reservoir. This supports further development in the Dars West area.
OGDC is now installing a pipeline at the site. After completion, gas will be sent to the KPD–TAY processing plant. From there, it will enter the Sui Southern Gas Company network for supply to consumers.
OGDC operates the Dars West lease with a 77.5 percent share, while Government Holdings Private Limited owns the remaining 22.5 percent stake.
The company said this progress shows its ongoing efforts to increase local oil and gas production. It also reflects OGDC’s focus on developing energy resources to support Pakistan’s growing demand.
