The Pishin operation resulted in the killing of five Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based action in Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the development in a statement issued from Rawalpindi.
According to ISPR, security forces launched the operation after receiving reports about the presence of militants linked to an Indian proxy group called Fitna al Khwarij. Troops surrounded the location and engaged the militants with multiple weapons.
During the heavy exchange of fire, one suicide bomber detonated himself. Security forces continued the action and eliminated the remaining four terrorists at the site.
Officials said weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the killed militants. These individuals were involved in several terrorist activities in the area.
Security forces are now conducting sanitisation activities to ensure no other militants remain in the location. The military said such actions will continue as part of the national counter-terrorism campaign.
The army also reaffirmed its commitment to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism under the national plan. The recent Pishin operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the country.
