The government of Pakistan has announced updated PM Youth Laptop Scheme eligibility rules to make the program fairer and more inclusive. These changes aim to provide equal access to digital tools for students across the country.
Officials said the scheme will now consider more than just academic merit. Students enrolled in public or HEC-recognized universities and colleges can apply. Programs covered include BS, Master’s, MPhil, and PhD. Selection will depend on academic performance, verified domicile, and other defined criteria.
The reforms are designed to increase transparency and broaden opportunities. By expanding access to laptops, the government hopes to support digital education and strengthen learning resources nationwide.
How Students Can Apply
Eligible candidates must complete registration at their university or college and submit applications via the official scheme website. Accurate academic records and identification documents are required. Once the merit list is published, laptops will be distributed to selected students.
The revised PM Youth Laptop Scheme eligibility criteria reflect the government’s focus on fair access to technology and modern learning tools. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve education standards and promote digital literacy in Pakistan.
