Punjab Class 8 Exam 2026 Schedule and Subjects Announced

Sindh introduces Modern Watermarking System to ensure exam transparency

The Punjab Class 8 exam 2026 will begin in the second week of March for government schools across the province. The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority will oversee the examinations to ensure a smooth process.

For the first time, answer sheets will be evaluated using a computerized marking system. Officials confirmed that results will be announced on March 31. The exams will run for two to three days, covering four main subjects: Urdu, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies. The Punjab government has allocated Rs. 1.6 billion for conducting these examinations.

Authorities have released standard operating procedures for all exam staff. School heads will serve as resident inspectors, senior teachers as superintendents, and primary and elementary teachers as test administrators. Staff for each examination center will be selected through an online system. Other subjects will be assessed internally by individual schools.

Punjab had previously introduced Class 8 board exams under the Punjab Examination Commission, but the system was discontinued after five years when the commission was dissolved. After a seven-year break, the government has reinstated the exams under the new authority to ensure proper evaluation and standardization of education at the middle school level.

Officials emphasized that the return of the Punjab Class 8 exam 2026 aims to maintain quality education and provide students with reliable performance assessments.
