US President Donald Trump is facing rising domestic pressure over the Trump Iran war. Protests across the country have drawn millions of Americans to the streets, marking some of the largest demonstrations in US history.
On Saturday, over 8 million people participated in No Kings rallies nationwide. Protesters spoke out against the ongoing military actions in Iran and the growing inflation in the country.
Trump’s niece, Mary L. Trump, has publicly criticized the administration’s approach toward Iran. She shared clips on social media rejecting the government’s stated reasons for the war that began in February this year.
Mary L. Trump highlighted that the administration keeps changing its stance. She said President Trump has no genuine concern for the Iranian people and lacks a clear plan to bring them freedom.
She questioned the strategy of engaging in a war against a country that posed no immediate threat. “How can such action serve the interests of the American public?” she asked.
On her social media post, Mary L. Trump wrote, “Trump may get a regime change, but it will be in the US, not Iran.”
Despite widespread criticism and public backlash, President Trump continues to defend his policy. He claims the leadership in Iran has already changed compared to the initial regime, insisting his strategy is justified.
