US Service Members Killed in Iran Operation: CENTCOM Confirms Three Deaths

US Service Members Killed in Iran Operation

US Service Members Killed in Iran Operation has been officially confirmed by the US Central Command (CENTCOM). Three American troops lost their lives, while five others were seriously injured during the ongoing military operation against Iran.

CENTCOM released a statement on Sunday. It said the casualties happened during active combat operations. Several other soldiers suffered minor injuries, including shrapnel wounds and concussions. They are expected to return to duty soon.

This is the first time the United States has confirmed troop deaths in the current strikes on Iran. The attacks entered their second day on Sunday.

According to CENTCOM, the identities of the fallen troops will not be shared yet. Officials said they will wait at least 24 hours until families are officially informed.

The US and Israel continued air and missile strikes across different areas of Iran. The operation, according to US President Donald Trump, is aimed at removing Iran’s current leadership.

Iran responded by launching attacks on US targets in the Middle East. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it fired four ballistic missiles toward the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

A US official said the missiles did not cause any damage. CENTCOM later confirmed that the aircraft carrier continues to operate and launch missions in support of ongoing operations.

The growing conflict has raised concerns about wider instability in the region. Lawmakers in Washington are now calling for debate over the military action and its long-term plan.

President Donald Trump told Fox News that the operation is “moving quickly.” He said he is not worried and believes the strikes are preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Meanwhile, Iran has promised retaliation. Its foreign minister said there are no limits to Iran’s right to defend itself.

The situation remains tense. Military operations are ongoing, and officials say developments are changing rapidly.
