QUETTA: The bodies of 47 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists killed while trying to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan remained unclaimed in Zhob, Balochistan for several days.
According to security sources, on August 7 and 9, security forces eliminated a large group of terrorists trying to cross the border in Sambaza, Balochistan. Most of the dead were Afghans, many of whose bodies were lying on the Afghan side of the border.
Sources said that even after 15 days, no one from Afghanistan came to claim the bodies, which were lying rotting in the open. On August 25, after a jirga with Afghan officials, the bodies were brought back on donkeys. During this time, wild animals also ate the remains.
Security officials termed the elimination of this large terrorist organization before any attack as a major achievement for Pakistan’s security and intelligence agencies.
