RAWALPINDI: Rescue teams are continuing their search for a seven-year-old boy who fell into a drainage channel and was swept away on Thursday evening.
The child has been identified as Wisal Khan, son of Farhad Khan. According to officials, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Westridge Police Station, Rawalpindi, at around 7:00 PM.
Despite hours of search efforts, rescue teams have so far been unable to locate the child. The search operation is currently being carried out in the drainage channel within the limits of Shams Colony Police Station, Islamabad, where rescuers are combing the area in hopes of finding the missing boy.
Officials said the rescue operation was suspended overnight due to darkness and safety concerns but resumed the following morning. The search for Wisal Khan remains ongoing as rescue teams continue their efforts.
