Actions are being taken against electricity thieves and defaulters across the country including Islamabad.
The statistics of the operations from October 22 to 29 have been released, according to which around 4.59 billion rupees fine was collected from all over the country till October 29.
More than 5 thousand 448 people were arrested in the operations from 22 to 29 October, 5 thousand 241 electricity thieves were arrested from Islamabad and Punjab.
According to the data, 34 electricity thieves were arrested from Sindh and 173 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Punjab and Islamabad, 1.91 billion rupees were collected from electricity thieves, 1.08 billion rupees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1.39 billion rupees were collected from electricity thieves in Sindh.
In Balochistan, a fine of 0.21 billion rupees was collected from electricity thieves, according to the statistics, more than 32 billion fine was collected from across the country and more than 24 thousand arrests were made.
