PESHAWAR: Peshawar Transport Authority has announced that additional Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses will operate in the city on September 22 during the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).

In an announcement on Friday, TransPeshawar spokesperson said additional buses would run on Sunday for students of MDCAT to reach their respective test centers timely.

The service would also be available at the end of the test so that the students could reach their destinations without inconvenience, the spokesperson added.

Moreover, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has taken extensive measures to ensure the secure and smooth conduct of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) on Sunday.

Examination papers and materials were dispatched to 11 Punjab cities under tight security on Friday, escorted by district police and senior UHS faculty members. Moreover, the papers will be stored in district treasury offices’ safe rooms.

To maintain order, a Command and Control Center has been set up at UHS, with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore overseeing operations.

In addition, mobile phones are prohibited for candidates in examination centers and mobile/internet services will be suspended within 500 meters of each center.
