Adiala Jail declared red zone, Rawalpindi on high alert

RAWALPINDI: With the implementation of Section 144 in Rawalpindi, the area around Adiala Jail has been declared a red zone. With the implementation of Section 144 in Rawalpindi, the area around Adiala Jail has been declared a red zone, and police from 9 police stations, 4 DSPs, SSPs, SP Saddar, CPO Rawalpindi have been assigned on duty.

A total of 1,000 police personnel have been deployed on duty, while water cannons have also been parked outside the jail. The administration has also issued orders to close shops, hotels, tandoors and petrol pumps around Adiala Jail.

It should be noted that today is the day of meeting with PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi and the founder’s sisters have announced to reach Adiala Jail.
