ISLAMABAD: Religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza has revealed that there was only one wall between his mills and those of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.
Speaking to journalist Irshad Bhatti in a podcast, he said that the part of the jail where he was imprisoned had a total of three mills for three people.
According to Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza, Imran Khan was kept towards the back wall of his mill, where six mills were allocated for him and he was also provided with a maskhati.
He said that sometimes he could hear Imran Khan’s voice, which he used to talk to his maskhati about cricket, but not about politics.
Engineer Mirza said that Imran Khan had TV facilities in the jail and was also provided with two newspapers.
According to him, Imran Khan was given raw meat which his maskhati used to cook and the smell of desi ghee tarda often came to him.
He further said that Imran Khan used to eat twice a day, breakfast at nine in the morning and dinner at three in the afternoon. Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza said that after November 4, he stopped hearing Imran Khan’s voice.
Later, after getting information from the jail staff, it was found that Imran Khan had been transferred to another part of the jail because it gets sunlight there.
