Amir Muqam hints at governor’s rule, shocking political revelation

MUZAFFARABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has made a major revelation.

As per the details, Amir Muqam has said that the serious consultations are underway at the government level regarding the implementation of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

He said that due to the deteriorating law and order situation and administrative failures in the province, various options are being considered.

“The federation is examining all possibilities within the framework of the constitution. Tough decisions can also be taken to protect the people and improve the affairs of the state,” he added.

“A new debate has erupted in political circles over the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Amir Muqam’s statement. Opposition parties have termed the possibility of Governor’s rule as “political interference”, while government leaders maintain that the decision will only be in accordance with the “constitution”.

Additionally, political activities have intensified in Azad Kashmir regarding the upcoming elections. According to government sources, a final decision has been taken to hold the elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on time, while an important meeting of the Action Committee in this regard has been called in Muzaffarabad next week.

Furthermore, sources say that the meeting will discuss administrative matters, final verification of electoral rolls, election security, and detailed consultations on resolving concerns of political parties. The preparation of the election schedule by the Election Commission of Azad Kashmir has also entered the final stages.
